Gabion
Gabion, a three-dimensional constructions of various shapes and sizes, is made of twisted wire mesh hexagonal mesh or welded wire mesh. Gabions are filled with rock at the project site to form flexible, permeable, monolithic structures such as retaining walls for commercial, industrial and road projects. They are also used for erosion control, bank stabilization, channel linings, and weirs.
Structure:
Double Twisted Hexagonal Wire Mesh
It is more flexible and is able to accommodate differential settlements, which makes the specification beneficial for civil engineering works and large retaining walls.
Weld Wire Mesh
Welded mesh provides a more rigid face and is popular for architectural applications, gabion cladding and free standing walls.
