Econazole Nitrate Powder Description:
Econazole nitrate is an antifungal medication of the imidazole class. It is used as a cream under the brand names Spectazole (US), Ecostatin (Canada), Pevaryl (Western Europe) and Pevisone (the latter consisting of the combination econazole/triamcinolone) to treat skin infections such as athlete’s foot, tinea, pityriasis versicolor, ringworm, and jock itch.
Econazole Nitrate Powder Application:
Econazole nitrate is used to treat skin infections such as athlete’s foot, jock itch, ringworm, and other fungal skin infections (candidiasis). This medication is also used to treat a skin condition known as pityriasis (tinea versicolor), a fungal infection that causes a lightening or darkening of the skin of the neck, chest, arms, or legs. Econazole is an azole antifungal that works by preventing the growth of fungus.
