1, anti-oxidation: CAPE structure containing catechol structure, is a strong antioxidant.

2, anti-inflammatory effect: CAPE containing propolis ethanol extract inhibited carrageenan-induced adjuvant arthritis, pleurisy and paw edema in rats, and not contain extracts from CAPE does not have this activity, indicating that CAPE is play the main components of anti-inflammatory effects.

3, anti-tumor effects: Propolis in the CAPE, quercetin, isoprene ester, isorhamnetin, high-Liang Su, and glycosides, polysaccharides and other substances have anticancer activity, can inhibit tumor cell proliferation, on the cancer cells some toxic effect, and CAPE on tumor cells with specific lethality.
