Low-E Glass provides excellent performance in situations where temperature separation is desired. LOW-E is used to help energy saving requirements by blocking UV light and provide heat insulation. It is done with a special thin-film metallic and oxide coating. The coating prevents the passage of short-wave solar energy into a building also prevents long-wave energy produced by heating system and lighting from escaping outside.
Type of Low-E Glass:
Temper able high permeability and low radiation glass
High transmittance – single layer glass will be over 80% , good appearance , good lighting effect.
High solar transmittance – through the glass solar thermal radiation, shading coefficient >=0.5
High far infrared reflective and low heat transfer coefficient, excellent thermal insulation properties.
Temper able shading and low radiation glass
Moderate visible light transmittance, keep a suit light effect indoor and prevent part of light from out door
Lower solar transmittance coefficient <0.5
High far infrared reflectivity, low heat transfer coefficient, limited the second thermal radiation into the room.
Temper able heat reflective coated glass
Coating one or more layers of metal or compound thin film on float glass by vacuum magnetron sputtering. The coating may control the reflection, transmission and absorption of direct solar radiation at desirable ratio, and to produce needed reflective color.
Greatly blocking sunlight and ultraviolet radiation, shading effect is obvious
Various color , silver gray/gray/green/blue/yellow series, is available
