PT-141 Description
1 . PT-141, also called as Bremelanotide, is a derivative for Melanotan 2 (M2). Unlike M2, PT-141 lacks C-terminal amide molecules.
2 . Bremelanotide is a cyclic hepta-peptide lactam derivative of alpha-MSH. PT-141 acts by stimulating melanocortin receptors present in the central nervous system.
3 . It is a variant of the hormone, which is known to induce melanogenesis, alpha MSH activates specific melanocortin receptors, which in turn produces melanin. Actually, MSH has potent influence over appetite, libido, and lipid metabolism and there have been research and studies to ascertain its effects in curing various sexual dysfunction related conditions.
4 . PT-141 does not affect the vascular system and its selective effect is limited to activation and stimulation of melanocortin receptors to increase libido and and sexual appeal.
PT-141 is the only synthetic Aphrodisiac.Men said that PT-141 made them feel “younger and energetic”, sexually interested and excited.
PT-141 Common Uses
Bremelanotide PT-141 is a generic term for a new medication which has shown promise in effectively treating sexual dysfunction in men (erectile dysfunction or impotence) as well as sexual dysfunction in women (sexual arousal disorder) It was developed from Melanotan 2 (MT-II), which is researched as a sunless tanning agent.
PT-141 is a metabolite of MT-II that lacks the C-terminal amide function-stripping away much of tanning effect.
