Introduction:
Contact Heat Transimmision Test Apparatus is applicable to protective clothing (including hand protectors) or its constituent materials intended to protect against high contact temperature. The application of the standard is restricted to contact temperatures from 100 °C to 500 °C.
Feature
The apparatus is designed and manufactured according to EN 702 and ISO 12127-1 standards.
The apparatus determines the threshold time of temperature rise of 10°C in the calorimeter.
In the test a heating cylinder is heated to a defined temperature and the specimen is put on the calorimeter.
During the measuring the calorimeter is moved towards the heating cylinder with a defined skipping speed of 5 mm/s and after contact a load of 49N is applied.
The temperature of the heating cylinder is adjustable from room temperature up to 500 °C.
