Blubber bitumen has a lower degree of penetration than pure bitumen . its softening-point is high. Also its sensitivity to temperature variations is low.
Symbolic of hard asphalt is R. For example R 80/25 bitumen means blown bitumen with degree of softness 80 centigerad and a degree of penetration is 25.
