Asphalt Grade Gilsonite Founder

It was originally medium gravity oils migrated into uplifted and intensively thrusted anticlines due to collision of natural asphalt with Muna block. Severe deformation eroded cap rocks of the reservoirs where oils came into.

Introduction of natural bitumen:

Natural Asphalt deposits are in petroleum areas. Mostly petroleum reservoirs exposed to surface. One of these important areas who mined since 1940 is the asphalt deposits of PUB-LTD mine.
