Rapid Transfer Port (RTP)
Rapid Transfer Port also called RTP, is a double-door system, containing Geevo’s transfer technology.
This system consists of two basic parts, active part and passive part. The active part is normally mounted on the chamber of Isolator or glovebox. The passive part is mobile and connected to a container, bag or other process component.
When the two assemblies are mated, sterile or hazardous materials can be transferred in and out of the under the control environment withour be destroyed, while maintaining the safety of the operators.
RTP is often used for material transfer in or out and removal of solid waste from the chambers.
The RTP system is manufactured from the materials that are resistant to multiple sterilization (autoclave, ethylene oxide, gamma sterilization, H2O2 sterilization, etc.)
Operation process
Feature
Precision machined components for exact tolerance
High quality stainless steel material easy to clean and sterilization
Easy to install and remove seals
Mechanical interlocks to prevent improper operation
Interlock System
Prevent the improper operation of the transfer port which can compromise the containment and sterility of the barrier/isolator.
The interlocks are incorporated into the Active part and interface with the active port door handle to prevent:
*Active door can’t open once the Passive part is connected or placed.incorrectly
*once open the Active door, the Passive part cannot be disconnected.
