Weadell high pressure laminate is manufactured by pressing melamine impregnated printed and solid color surface papers over phenolic impregnated kraft sheets at pressures over 1000 psi pressure and temperatures of approximately 300 degrees F (149 degrees C).

Specialty laminates from Weadell offer some of the finest products available today. These include items that provide structural stability, color-through surfaces, chemical resistance, fire rated surfaces and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection.
The thinner HPL normally thickness less than 1.2 mm product has a phenolic impregnated sheet on the back side that is sanded to facilitate bonding to a substrate.
