Aluminum Tripolyphosphate, as a new generation of white antirust pigment made by Xinsheng Chemical, is the ideal substitute of toxic antirust pigments containing lead or chrome. It turns out through practical applications and test results by over 100 well-known coating material producers or researching institutes at home and abroad since it came onto the market in 1986, that this product is superior to such antirust pigments as lead red, zinc chrome yellow and zinc phosphate in rust prevention and practicality.
Principal Components: Aluminum Tripolyphosphate and modifiers.
Rust-preventive Component: P3O105-
Specific Properties: White powder, insoluble in water, density: 2.6-3g/cm, nontoxic, not irritative to skin, free of harmful heavy metal elements like lead or chrome and good thermal stability. Tripolyphosphate ions (P3O105-) will chelate with many metallic ions and form a perfect film that provides extremely strong resistance against corrosion to iron, steel or light metals. With wide adaptability, it is very cost-effective for only little amount required in production of coating materials and flexible in color mixing for its white color.
Applications: This coloring pigment is able to widely substitute conventional toxic antirust pigments such as lead red and zinc chrome yellow in the production of various prime coats and combined coating materials. With good compatibility with varnish paints, it can be used together with various coloring pigments, filling agents and antirust pigments in the production of high performance anti-corrosion coating materials. Specifically, it is applicable to the production of dissolvent type of coating materials such as formaldehyde phenol resin, alkide resin, epoxy resin, epoxy polyester and acrylic resin as well as water-soluble resin coating materials such as highly adaptable water-soluble epoxy ester dipping paint. Besides, it is also applicable to the preparation of high build paint, powder coating, organic titanium-contained anticorrosion coating, on-rust paint, bituminous paint, zinc-rich primer, fire-retardant coating, heat-resistant paint, etc.
