Jaw crusher is a kind of machine which is mainly made of one stationary jaw plate and one movable jaw plate. It is also called multiplexing pendulum jaw crusher. This principle of this crusher is that: through the periodic reciprocating movement between the stationary jaw plate and the movable jaw plate, materials can be extruded or crushed. It is widely used for different hardness of coarse materials and small materials. It can be divided as ordinary jaw crusher and fine jaw crusher.

PE/PEX series of Jaw crushers use electric motor for power. Through the motor pulley, the belt and sheave drive eccentric shaft which makes the movable jaw move reciprocally according to the predetermined track, then crush the material in the cavity and discharge the finished material through the lower port. The crushing way of this kind of jaw crusher is curved extruding type. The electric motor drives the belt and pulley, then the movable jaw moved up and down by eccentric shaft. When the movable jaw rises, the angle between the toggle plate and the moving jaw becomes larger, thus promoting the movable jaw plate close to the fixed jaw plate. At the same time, the material is extruded, twisted, and grinded and so on. When the movable jaw fall down, the angle between the toggle plate and the moving jaw becomes smaller, thus promoting the movable jaw plate leaves the fixed jaw plate under the help of rod and spring. Meanwhile the crushed material discharge from the lower port of the cavity. Under the help of electric motor rotates continuously, the movable jaw works periodically to achieve mass production.
