Function
Audio Compander
The built-in audio compander reduces noise and provides clear reception even in narrow band use. Voice Scrambler A voice-inversion scrambler provides basic communications security against casual eavesdropping. VOX (Voice Operated Transmission) Built-in VOX allows hands-free transmission on the radio when using the appropriate earphone/headset. Remote Kill/Stun/Activate/Revive If the radio is killed or stunned, all attempts on operation by user, except power on/off, will be ignored. The radio will be activated or revived only when it received the correct code. Talk Around The Talk Around feature allows user prompt reset the RX and TX frequency to be same and offers the possibilities of communication among radios in system without repeater. Wired and Wireless Clone For quick programming of PT-6500 radios for group use, the Clone feature allows copying of all channels and other configuration data from one radio to another by the optional cloning cable or other radios in wireless clone mode. ●General Functions
Multiple Scanning
Scan channel is convenient for the team leader to monitor the on-site situations. The scanning mode and scanning priority is programmable.
Low Battery Alert
When the battery power is low, the working status indicator flashes red, reminding you to recharge or replace the battery.
Time-out Timer (TOT)
When TOT is on and the transmission exceeds preset time limit, the communication will stop after warning tone. TOT can prevent the radio from any potential damage caused by overlong transmission.
Monitor
To monitor whether the current channel has signal, press the MONI key. The Monitor function is used to receive weak signal.
Wired Cloning
To quickly set the parameters on a radio, you can clone the radio data from another radio with the supplied data cable, saving the time of parameter setting.
