Function
Simple operation and easy-to-use
Only 4 keys, volume and channel knobs, anyone could use the PT-7200 before special training to get down to the business of communication without fuss.
Channel Annunciation
The channel annunciation feature can automatically “read out” the selected channel number. This eye-free user interface is great for portables worn on a belt, in a pocket or in dark environments.
Tough and rain resistant
Built tough to take rough treatment, the PT-7200 has passed the IP54 rain resistance tests. It also meets or exceeds MIL-STD 810 C/D/E environmental standards.
GPS (Optional)
The PT7200's GPS function, supported by control center and management software, allows uses to be located instantly, either to dispatch among group or locate of an emergency call. Allowing for more efficient use of resources or determining location in life-threatening situations.
Emergency Alarms
The Emergency Mode in PT7200 could be programmed as silent alarm, local alarm, remote alarm, monitored alarm or emergency signaling alone or all for different circumstances. .
Enhanced 2-Tone/5-Tone/MDC1200
Up to 16 2-Tone/5-Tone codes can be decoded on a channel. When a matched tone is received, various preprogrammed actions as beep, answer back, stun, LED blink could be activated. Even missed call notice and call transfer are optional for upgraded version. The PT 7200 can also provides the standard MDC1200 signaling.
Versatile Scanning Features
Customizable Scan Template for each channel allows up to 16 different scan lists for convenient administration in large work group. Auto-Scan and Vote features are helpful for monitoring on multiple channels. The PT-7200 series offers both standard and Priority Scan modes. Call Back allows immediate response to a received call without having to manually search or change channels.
Lone Work and Man Down (Optional)
The radio enters emergency mode if the user does not respond to a warning call (Lone Work) or put the radio vertically (Man Down, optional), adding security and safety for individuals who work remotely and lonely.
Whisper
The Whisper feature allows a user to speak quietly into a radio and still be heard clearly by other radio users.
Optimum Audio
The equipped 1000mW speaker offers loud and clear audio output.
Remote Kill/Stun/Activate/Revive
If the radio is killed or stunned, all attempts on operation by user, except power on/off, will be ignored. The radio will be activated or revived only when it received the correct code.
Audio Compander
The built-in audio compander reduces noise and provides clear reception even in narrow band use.
Voice Scrambler
A voice-inversion scrambler provides basic communications security against casual eavesdropping.
Wide range frequency coverage
The PT-7200 covers a wide frequency range with one version (136-174, 350-400, 400-470, 450-520 MHz). Different channel spacing (25/20/12.5 kHz) and TX power (high/low) are programmable per channel.
Voice-operated transmission (VOX)
The internal VOX provides PTT control with the simple talking, which brings much convenience for specialized tasks and events where hands-free, constant or repetitive communications are necessary.
Rental
The radio will be disabled once the preset time that radio can be rented elapses. Data Clone
For quick programming of PT-7200 radios for group use, the Clone feature allows copying of all channels and other configuration data from one radio to another by cloning cable or other radios in wireless clone mode (optional).
Password Protection
Writing and reading passwords for PC programming protect the radio data security.
